so much for taking the time to answer some questions for our
magazine. It's always a pleasure to interview a female tattoo
artist, since males take the major presence in this business. Your
work is really inspiring, I bet you're a great role model to many
artists out there.
Q: Let's start with some basic info about you, What inspired
you to become a tattoo artist? Do you have any artistic background?
A: Yes, I finished Minsk College of Arts. When I had my first tattoo
done, I made a decision that I want to learn the art of tattooing.
Before that I didn't know who I wanted to be in future.
Q: You do lots of tattoo styles, do you have any favorite?
A: Yes, I do, It is realism.
Q: During your starts, what kind of designs catch your eye
firs? What kind of designs you used to in most of the time?
A: At the beginning of my career, I preferred the old school tattoo
style.
Q: How much your tattoo art speaks about your personality?
A: I just do the designs that I really like and which are
interesting and challenging for me as an artist.
Q: Your color tattoos are absolutely
amazing! Seriously, something that makes them so cool, is your
ability to put some extra energy on the details as well as, unique
composition with so many great color ink contrasts! I bet, you spent
lots of time sketching and then finally get in touch with the
clients and their idea... tell me a bit about the making process.
A: First, we discuss the main idea, then I look up on the internet
for interesting photos, designs and ideas which inspire me. Then I
think it over and make a composition in Photoshop and show it to the
client. If needed, I'll make some minor changes. Once the
composition is ready we start tattooing. During the process I can
change or add certain details as I see them.
Q: Do you have any favorite body area you're always happy to put
some tattoo inks? :)
A: Yes. I have, It's the legs.
Q: Let's not forget, those awesome big pieces take a long
time to be done and sometimes it could take a lot more than just one
tattoo session. :) How do you usually cheer up your clients while a
long session? :)
A: I try to chatter with them and turn on some funny tv show to
distract them from the pain.
Q: What's the procedure of getting an appointment? How much clients wait?
A: You just contact me in social networks (facebook, instagramm, vkontakte.com, prinzzechen@gmail.com)
and I will check my schedule. Clients usually wait about a month, it
depends.
Q: Being a lady in this job could be an interesting
experience, ahh lots of clients will come to see you not just
because of your excellent tattoo works, but as well your beauty. ;)
What are some of the most interesting experiences with the
customers?
A: Thank for compliment) Actually no extraordinary cases, but with
some of my clients I have made good friends.
Q: How do you
see the tattoo industry nowadays? Do you think there is a progress?
A: Yes, I think it's developing very fast nowadays. There are so
many talented artists who make real masterpieces.

Samohin. Nowadays there are a lot of great artists, I even can't
count them, but in general I always do how I see and don't look at
others)
Q: Where are you located now?
A: I work in Minsk, Belarus, but now we don't have a shop. It's just
as a private studio, I work with my husband, he is also a tattoo
artist and in the future we are planning to open our own studio.
Q: Any motivational words for the new artists?
A: Don't be afraid to try something new and difficult
