Push Yourself & Act
Everyone struggles with staying motivated and reaching their
goals. The reality is that refocusing, changing, or making a new
start on something, no matter how small, is a big deal. But it's not
impossible. With the right approach, you can definitely do it.
After being motivated initially, there comes the second part -
staying motivated when you don’t feel the same excitement as you did
in the beginning. Perhaps something new has come into your life and
your old goal isn’t as much of a priority anymore. Perhaps you
skipped a day or two and now you can’t get back into it. Perhaps you
screwed up and got discouraged.
Courage is simply a progressive decision in the face of resistance
but such a decision remains the most difficult kind to make. The
right type of "linguistic fuel" can get your engine revved up to
soar. The following article provides advice on how to keep going in
a life which seems to never stop coming at you.
So how do you stay motivated and on track with your goal?
Push yourself
Remind yourself of how hard you have worked to get to where you are
and remember that it is always easier to just keep up than to fall
behind and have to try to catch up and keep up. Passion is the fire
that will unmistakably fuel you but it can’t be forced, so find your
true passion and let it propel you forward.
Break it down
Making any change takes self-discipline. You need to pay constant
attention so you don't get sidetracked. One way to make this easier
is to break a big goal into small steps.
Reaching frequent, smaller goals is something to celebrate. It gives
you the confidence, courage, and motivation to keep running — or
doing whatever it is you're aiming to do. So reward yourself.
Recommit to your goal if you slip up
If you slip up, don't give up. Forgive yourself and make a plan for
getting back on track.
Pat yourself on the back for everything you did
right. Don't beat yourself up, no matter how far off track you get.
Most people slip up when trying to make a change — it's a natural
part of the process.
Writing down daily tasks and mini-goals helps here too. By keeping
track of things, you'll quickly recognize when you've slipped up,
making it easier to refocus and recommit to your goal.
There are three states of being. Not knowing, action and
completion
When you up to something, get involved. Try to do more research.
Simple, stick to it and try do something about it. Do not just sit
and with for the thing you want to happen, because they are waiting
for you!
Laugh at perfection. It's boring and keeps you from being
done
Perfection is an enemy of good. If you trying to make the things
perfect your just wasting time. When you say to yourself - I can do
this, you train your brain to make it happen.
Done is the engine of more
When you've achieved a goal, take the time to enjoy the satisfaction
of having done so. Absorb the implications of the goal achievement,
and observe the progress that you've made towards other goals. If
the goal was a significant one, reward yourself appropriately. All
of this helps you build the self-confidence you deserve.
Remember: Don't give up, everything could be real if you make it
happen.
